U.S. Chamber Hails Passage of Financial Rescue Bill
"With the American economy on life support, Congress took the necessary step to stop the bleeding. Today's bipartisan vote in the House is a major step toward stabilizing the credit markets and supporting Main Street businesses."
In light of the recent financial turmoil, it is increasingly evident that too much focus is placed on the short-term performance of U.S. companies. CCMC recently joined with several organizations to release a short paper titled Operating and Investing for the Long Term: Best Practices in Communications, Guidance and Incentive Structures to create value for the long term.
The mission of the U.S. Chamber's Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC) is to maintain and advance America's global leadership in capital formation by supporting capital markets that are the most fair, efficient, and innovative in the world.
